Timeframe

Updated 2026-09-20

Definition

The duration of each candle on the chart: from 1 minute (M1) to a month (MN).

Why it matters

Each timeframe shows a different scale of the same story. The top-down approach is used: the high timeframe for context, the low one for entry.

Practical example

D1 for the trend, H1 for the area, M15 for entry: three timeframes with a ratio of about 4:1.
